India Makes Cinema History with First Acoustically Transparent LED Screen and DTS:X Audio Upgrade at Vettri Theatres, Chennai

Vettri Theatres in Chennai has made Indian cinema history by upgrading two of its auditoriums with advanced GDC cinema technologies. The 200-seat “VOLT” auditorium now features India’s first acoustically transparent Tricorne Premium LED cinema screen, which allows loudspeakers to be placed directly behind the display for perfectly synchronized visual and audio performance. Meanwhile, the 100-seat “Krish” auditorium has been upgraded with a DTS:X for IAB immersive audio system and pure RGB laser projection. This landmark project represents another major milestone for Tricorne Premium LED in South Asia, following its initial deployment in Sri Lanka.
